What are the major differences between using a lithium battery and a lead acid battery ? [FA36]

The lithium battery offers a much longer life than lead batteries. The efficiency is also better (less energy loss during charge/discharge). However, it is more expensive to buy.

A lithium battery is much more complex to manage than a lead-acid battery, so it integrates an on-board computer called BMS (Battery Management System). This computer must talk to the computer integrated in the IMEON. It is therefore necessary that the battery is compatible and tested with our software.

In order for the IMEON and the lithium battery to communicate, it is therefore necessary to connect it via a CAN communication cable. Without this communication, the use of the battery by the IMEON will not work.
